This has been a special Holiday season here at Emerald City Pet Rescue! We are so fortunate that we have made it through another year of being able to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome many wonderful pets. Some we have rescued from high-kill shelters out of state, and others we have rescued locally. Some pets have needed extra medical or behavioral help and we feel so lucky that we have had the resources to be able to help them. This year has brought shy and/or fearful dogs out of their shells in their new forever homes, and it has seen three dogs who needed wheelchairs slowly regaining the use of their legs through patience, love, and physical therapy.
Today we had a visit from Jina who stopped over from Animal Medical Center of Seattle. They did their own “Santa Paws” event where people could come in and get photos of Santa with their pets, and they chose to donate all of the proceeds to ECPR to help our wonderful rescues!
We feel so fortunate that they chose to gift us with a donation. So many people in our Seattle community care about these animals, and we couldn’t ask for a better “Holiday gift” than that!
Thank you so much, Jina and Animal Medical Center, your generosity has touched us, and people like you make it possible for us to keep doing what we do!
